About Alphacorse

Alphacorse.com is the home of the eternal asphalt ribbon and a great place to start exploring the wild and wonderful twisty county roads of Western Wisconsin.
Why “alphacorse?” Because West Central Wisconsin is popular for its county roads with names like County Road A, OO, SS, and C. “The alphabets” or “Alphabet City” is the most popular destination for both cruisers and sportbikes.
The “corse” comes from Ducati Corse, the Ducati racing brand. Sari rides an older Ducati–a 1998 900ss fe–though she also owns Honda Hawks and got started with vintage Guzzi’s. I love all motorcycles, though I’m a sucker for Italian and racing bikes.
So “Alphcorse” means the racing feeling you get in the county roads of West Central Wisconsin.
*We also designed and sell a magnet based on the original yellow ribbon magnet, which is very popular around here. It’s our way of testifying to the eternal love for asphalt. You might say we “Support Our Loops.” Luckily you don’t have to when you stick one on your car. You can pop out the two inner shapes of the ribbon and display just the black and yellow ribbon, a universal sign of curve-huggers everywhere.
The web site is organic. It’s growing. We’re experimenting with a bike advice column, posting rider routes, maps, news and attractions. We designed Alphacorse.com the same way we do some of our favorite rides: just see where the road takes us. We’re locals, so we like featuring our favorite businesses, stories and events, but we may post about anything that might be interesting to riders.
